1983

Roberts Laboratories, MRI's predecessor, created proprietary designs for Foley, irrigation, temperature sensing and enteral feeding catheters, which are standards of care used all over the world.

 

1986

MRI Company was founded as MRI (Manufacturing & Research, Inc.) in Tucson, Arizona after sale of Roberts Labortories. Pioneered the use of liquid silicone injection molding for medical devices.

 

1994

Began acquisition of a number of facilities in and around Tucson, with company operations by 1999 housed in  2 different locations.

 

1998

Extended core business offerings to integrate silicone catheters with value-added services, such as molding, extrusion, assembly, and packaging.

 

1999-2000

Named a Fortune 500 Fastest Growing Company in 1999 and 2000.


2000

Consolidated all operations in a new state-of-the-art, built-to-suit, 47,000-square-foot facility, located at 4700 Overland Drive, Tucson, and containing administrative, manufacturing, and warehouse areas.

 

2005-Present

Continue to augment staff, adding executive leadership, managers, designers, engineers, program managers, and production experts.


2010

Sold company to the UK-based, multinational Fenner plc and established a new leadership team. Fenner provides support through its expertise in a wide range of materials and activities, including precision polymer products, advanced sealing technologies, molded fluoropolymers, extruded polymer products, and precision-engineered textiles.

 

2011

MRI renamed Xeridiem Medical Devices, positioning itself for rapid, strategic growth in a wider array of materials used in Class I, Class II, and Class III disposable medical devices.
